Olivia Miles has been named the 2026 WNBA Rookie of the Year. She is the first player to receive the award unanimously since the voting format was introduced.
The Minnesota Lynx guard received all first-place votes from the Associated Press voting panel after an impressive first season in the league.
Miles averaged 19.8 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game, helping Minnesota finish the regular season with the WNBA’s best record.
The 22-year-old also became an important part of the Lynx’s backcourt throughout the season.
Her performances also helped her earn recognition alongside some of the league’s biggest names. It is her consistency throughout the regular season that ultimately earned her the rookie award.
The award caps a memorable first season for Miles, who now heads into the playoffs with Minnesota looking to make a deep postseason run.
