Former NASCAR and IndyCar star Danica Patrick has lifted the lid on the diet and fitness secrets behind her incredible, shredded physique.
The 44-year-old took to Instagram to break down how she maintains her toned, athletic figure after sharing snaps from a European getaway this summer.
Posting a photo of herself in a bikini aboard a boat, Patrick answered frequent fan questions by outlining her approach to nutrition and training.
‘I eat the s*** out of protein. I don’t care about vegetables,’ Patrick wrote in a caption on her Instagram story.
She added that she doesn’t shy away from carbohydrates either, revealing: ‘I eat sourdough bread, rice and potatoes.’
When it comes to the gym, the retired motorsport star keeps her routine surprisingly straightforward.

‘Lift weights three times a week at most,’ Patrick revealed, before noting she took extended downtime this year without sacrificing her progress.
‘Took six total weeks off this summer and still have abs,’ she wrote. ‘It is much easier to keep muscle than build it. Put in the work.’
Patrick quickly followed up the candid fitness advice with another snap showing her relaxed side at home.
Enjoying a glass of white wine while covered in pet fur, she quipped: ‘And I love wine!!!! I put up with the dog hair.’
The revelations come following a whirlwind travel schedule for the racing icon, who recently returned from vacationing along the Amalfi Coast with her boyfriend and close friends.
It also comes after her ex-boyfriend, and NFL legend, Aaron Rodgers slammed their relationship on a recent podcast appearance earlier this month.
Rodgers sensationally criticized the former NASCAR and IndyCar driver in an explosive interview, saying she was ‘depressed’ during their relationship, and they suffered with ‘intimacy’ issues.
The NFL legend’s outburst came more than a year after the former NASCAR driver claimed her relationship with him was ’emotionally abusive’ and ‘wore me down to nothing.’

Rodgers slammed ex-NASCAR driver Patrick and other exes in a recent podcast appearance
Patrick and Rodgers, who is two games into his final NFL season, started dating in January 2018 and made their red-carpet debut at that year’s ESPY awards.
At the end of 2019 they bought a home together in Malibu and spent the first few months of 2020 living together in the trendy California beach town. However, their relationship didn’t last much longer as they split in July 2020 after just over two years together.
During an appearance on the ‘Not Just Football’ podcast, Rodgers hit out at Patrick for suggesting he is a ‘monster partner’ in the interview she gave last year.
‘No one cares what they have to say until they say my name,’ Rodgers said during the interview with his Pittsburgh Steelers teammate Cam Heyward.
‘I dated two women who nobody gives a f*** about unless they drop my name – and they like to say their version of the history of what actually happened.
‘So I’m this monster of a partner and it’s just f***ing horses***. Number one: Why are you still talking about me? It’s been years.
‘I dated Danica. She had just retired [in November 2017]. She was depressed and not fun to be around. But I didn’t leave her because I was trying to be there and be a good partner. Then it was going a certain direction obviously. There was no intimacy; there was nothing.
‘I’m buying a house in Malibu and she goes, “Do you want to buy it together?” And I said no. And she said, “You know what that means then?” And I said, “Yeah, that’s the way things are going.” She said, “Well, let’s get counseling.” Then we got counseling. Then Covid hits and we’re stuck together.
‘She tells a story that she was so blindsided and getting left by you, and that he leaves a trail of blood around him. And I’m like, what are you talking about? That’s not what happened.’
