Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni appeared to be feeling the heat on Monday night after he lost his cool and screamed in the face of the referee.
In a meltdown that ESPN’s Troy Aikman claimed was ‘as mad as I’ve ever seen him’, Sirianni approached the official after his team was handed a 10-yard intentional grounding penalty.
While the booth agreed with the ref’s call, Sirianni clearly didn’t and he was apoplectic as he screamed in his face.
X users claimed to have been able to lip-read the Eagles coach, claiming he said: ‘That’s bulls***, that’s bulls*** … learn how to do your job.’
The remarkable meltdown had multiple chapters as he approached the official multiple times, continuing to scream in his face even as he got no reaction.
The call left his Philadelphia Eagles with a 3rd & 16 on the field, with the team already conceding an early touchdown to put them on the back foot in Chicago.

Sirianni is a notoriously feisty coach on the sideline, passionately defending his team at every opportunity.
Since becoming Eagles head coach back in 2021, he has been involved in several controversial moments during games, perhaps most famously having to be held back by his own quarterback Jalen Hurts during the Super Bowl in 2023.
Back in 2022, he got into a violent sideline confrontation with Dallas Cowboys players after a shove involving Jason Kelce, with TV cameras catching him dropping an F-bomb in the melee.
A few months later, he beat the Indianapolis Colts and his former boss Frank Reich, screaming into the stands ‘that’s for Frank Reich’ after sealing a win.
In January 2026, he went at it with his own player AJ Brown during a Wild Card playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers. After consecutive incompletions, cameras caught him screaming at Brown with the pair getting in each other’s faces.
