Interim Super Falcons head coach Augustine Eguavoen has invited 28 players for Nigeria’s second-round 2028 Olympic Games qualifying tie against Comoros.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defenders Michelle Alozie, Oluwatosin Demehin and Ashley Plumptre are among the players called up for the two-legged fixture.
Also included are midfielders Christy Ucheibe, Toni Payne and Jennifer Echegini, while forwards Asisat Oshoala, Gift Monday, Joy Omewa and Uchenna Kanu are part of the squad.
The squad also features several young players, including Christiana Uzoma, Farida Abdulwahab, Tumininu Adeshina, Favour Nkwocha, Shakirat Moshood, Oluwakemi Adegbuyi and Janet Akekoromowei.
The invited players are expected to report to the AM2PM Hotel in Ijebu-Ode on Saturday, October 3, ahead of the crucial Olympic qualifying tie.
Comoros will host the first leg on Friday, October 9, while Nigeria will host the return leg on Tuesday, October 13.
Both matches will be played at the Remo Stars Sports Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, as Comoros does not have a CAF-approved stadium for international matches.
The Super Falcons must secure victory on aggregate to advance to the third round of the five-stage qualifying campaign, which will conclude in December 2027.
