George Ilenikhena has expressed his delight after making his debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Completesports.com reports.
The 20-year-old made his first appearance for the senior national team on Friday in Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Matchday 1 clash against Madagascar.
Ilenikhena marked his debut in style, cancelling out Kari Eshan’s opening goal for the Barea late in the first half.

Moses Usor, who came on as a substitute, completed Nigeria’s comeback by scoring the winning goal 25 minutes from full time.
Following his debut, Ilenikhena vowed to continue working hard for the national team.
“Proud to have made my debut with the national team. We keep working,” the young forward wrote on X.
