NFL legend Rob Gronkowski left voters stunned as he arrived at the polls in New Hampshire to try and encourage Americans to vote in the midterm elections.
Gronkowski, a three-time Super Bowl winner, signed jerseys and posed for photos with voters at Bedford High School, joined by his longtime girlfriend, Camille Kostek.
He was one of numerous athletes to head out in the state, where several competitive races were playing out, including a potentially pivotal U.S. Senate contest between Democrat Chris Pappas and Republican John Sununu.
Gronkowski’s former Patriots teammate Danny Amendola also headed out to the polling station at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton while boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was spotted at Alvirne High School in Hudson.
Gronkowski, who has not been politically outspoken but is a registered Republican in Florida where he resides, said his presence was all about encouraging voters to turn out and have their say.
‘And the air is brisk and the people are just so wonderful,’ he told Boston 25 News. ‘And just taking pictures with everyone that are coming out here to vote.

‘You know, it doesn’t matter what side you’re voting for, it just matters that you’re coming out and voting.’
Gronkowski was filmed outside a Turning Point USA tent on Election Day but the conservative organization told CBS News he was not explicitly attending with the group but took photos with members as he walked by their tent.
Another clip showed Gronkowski waving an American flag outside the polling station, before police issued a statement after heavy traffic in the area confirming he had left the scene as voters flocked to turn out.
‘If you plan on voting today or are traveling in the area, please give yourself extra time,’ police said. ‘Rob Gronkowski is no longer at the High School. He is not expected to return.’
Both Amendola and Mayweather have publicly attended Republican rallies alongside President Donald Trump on the recent campaign trail.
Gronkowski has not been as outspoken but admitted in a recent interview that political discussions became more prominent in the locker room as his career, which spanned from 2010 to 2021, went on.
‘I would say the conversations and awareness grew, but it didn’t really make a significant impact, like it wasn’t like skyrocketing like it, that it seemed like on the outside. It wasn’t like that in the inside,’ Gronkowski told Fox News Digital.
‘It’s not political in the locker room. We’re all together as one, and that’s what it’s all about. And that’s how I believe it should be all about, is that we have one purpose. It was to win games and it was to be the best football team.’
