Mom of soccer prodigy, 3, kicked out of game for 'being too good' raises thousands in fundraiser to make sure he keeps playing

The mother of the three-year-old soccer prodigy Nevada has launched a fundraiser to ‘support his soccer journey’ after he was removed from his local league.

Youngster Nevada went viral this week after officers were called to a youth soccer game in Winter Park, Florida, on Saturday following a dispute among parents.

In a video posted on Monday morning, the father of the toddler – who boasts nearly 700,000 followers on TikTok – alleged that other players’ parents complained because he wasn’t passing to his teammates during the recent match.

However, Jul Henry, the director of the youth league who called 911 over the ‘disruptive’ parents, claimed that Nevada had been ‘aggressive’ on the field in police bodycam footage obtained by The Daily Mail.

As the saga continues, Nevada’s mother has launched a GoFundMe aimed at supporting the three-year-old’s ‘training, equipment and other opportunities’.

At the time of writing, over $23,000 has been raised for the family.

The description to the fundraiser page read: ‘I’m Martasia Griffin, and I’m raising funds for my son, Nevada Pierre, a bright and passionate 3-year-old who has loved soccer since he was just 1 year old.

‘With love, dedication, and guidance from his father, Don Pierre, Nevada has continued to build his skills and deepen his love for the game.

‘Soccer is more than an activity for him. It is something that brings him joy and excitement and gives him a chance to learn and be part of a team.’

Griffin continued by once again addressing the incident in Winter Park, disputing the claims from the league that police were called because of the ‘disruptive’ parents.

‘On October 24, 2026, during a game with i9 Sports in Winter Park, Florida, Nevada went through an experience no child his age should have to endure.

‘He was removed from the game because of concerns about his skill level, and the situation escalated to the point that law enforcement was called.

‘At just 3 years old, Nevada could not understand why he was being taken away from a game he loved. What should have been a happy childhood moment became heartbreaking and distressing for him and deeply painful for our family to witness.’

She continued: ‘This fundraiser is about more than one painful experience. It is about protecting Nevada’s passion for soccer and making sure this moment does not define his journey.

‘Donations will help Nevada continue pursuing soccer in a more supportive setting by covering registration fees, training, equipment, uniforms, travel expenses, and other opportunities for him to keep developing his talent.

Police were called to Nevada's recent game

Nevada’s parents initially claimed that officers were called to the game after rival parents complained that three-year-old prodigy was ‘too good’ to be playing

‘We need this support as soon as possible so Nevada can move forward and keep doing what he loves.’

In footage from the game, Nevada could be seen dominating the i9 Sports competition. As cops arrived, his father could be heard in the social media video saying: ‘They called the police on a three-year-old because he is too good.

‘They called the police on a 3-year-old because he has the ball for too long. And nobody else can get the ball. So, they called the police on him.’

However, Henry, the director of the youth league who called 911 over the ‘disruptive’ parents, claimed that Nevada’s parents were being ‘disruptive’ after the soccer starlet was pulled from the game in bodycam footage obtained by The Daily Mail.

While Henry acknowledged that Nevada was a talented player, he alleged that the toddler had been too ‘aggressive,’ claiming that he had pushed other players.

He informed the officers that he would be willing to offer the family a refund for their league payments but demanded that they leave the park.

However, Nevada’s parents furiously disputed that version of events, informing the responding officers that they were confused why they were being asked to leave.

They explained that they paid $300 for their son to play and claimed that they were simply cheering him on.

‘He’s been doing weird things to my son because my son actually plays soccer,’ the mother told officers, referring to the director. ‘They’re mad at my son because he actually plays soccer. So I’m confused and a little baffled because I signed my son up for soccer.

‘They’re literally kicking him out of this place because he’s good at soccer.’

She also insisted that her son was not being aggressive at all, claiming that his teammates failed to pick up the ball when he would pass to them.

‘What is the real issue? They have an issue with a three-year-old, because me and him haven’t done anything,’ she added, gesturing to the toddler’s father. ‘We stand on the other side. We don’t ever stand with the other parents, so we’re not getting into it with other parents.’

The family eventually exited the park with the officers as the mother demanded paperwork proof that the league would reimburse them.

Dispatch audio revealed that Henry had earlier complained about the youngster’s mother’s behavior as he desperately urged police to send officers to the scene.

He could be heard alleging that the woman was following him around, calling him names and filming him for social media, in the audio heard by The Daily Mail.

‘I have an unruly parent here, calling me names and having me on Instagram or whatever and wanting me to look bad,’ he said.

He continued: ‘There’s a parent here who is really, really disruptive. Like following me around and calling me names. I want her gone.’

Henry continued to frantically request that officers arrive at the scene as quickly as possible as the family were about to leave the park.

‘Can you have someone quickly get here? Because they’re about to leave here in 10 minutes,’ he said. ‘This needs to be like a rush.’

‘I just want her off the property, please, immediately,’ he continued.

When officers arrived at the scene, they were requested by the director to communicate with the family as he ‘did not want to further a disturbance,’ according to a news release from the Winter Park Police Department.
