Vikings Stay Unbeaten as Seahawks Hand Chiefs First NFL Defeat

The Minnesota Vikings maintained their unbeaten run in the NFL after Week Seven, while the Seattle Seahawks handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first defeat of the season.

The Vikings improved their record to 6-0 after coming from behind to beat the Indianapolis Colts 16-10 at home on Sunday.

Their strong defence and reliable kicking have helped them maintain their impressive form, even as their attack continues to search for its best level.

The Vikings have now won 11 consecutive games, including matches from the end of last season. They will face a major test next week when they take on division rivals, the Detroit Lions.

Meanwhile, the defending champions, the Seattle Seahawks, defeated the Chiefs 20-3 in a major result.

Seattle’s defence limited Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes and restricted running back Kenneth Walker to just 36 yards from 14 carries.

For Seattle, quarterback Sam Darnold relied on Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who recorded 150 receiving yards and a touchdown. Running back Emanuel Wilson also delivered 100 rushing yards and a touchdown.

The victory moved Seattle to 4-3, while the Chiefs suffered their first loss of the campaign to fall to 5-1.

The San Francisco 49ers also lost their unbeaten record after a 29-20 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons forced four turnovers, including two interceptions from 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, to hand San Francisco its first defeat of the season. The 49ers now have a 6-1 record.

In another game, the Cleveland Browns returned to the top of the AFC North after defeating the Tennessee Titans 27-24.

Andre Szmyt scored the winning field goal, his third game-winning kick in four weeks, to secure the victory for Cleveland.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson also continued his impressive form, leading five game-winning drives this season.

The Denver Broncos also recorded a big win, while the Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Jets 28-25 to leave the Los Angeles Chargers as the only team yet to win a game this season.

Elsewhere, the Cincinnati Bengals came from behind to beat the Baltimore Ravens 35-13. Joe Burrow threw for four touchdowns and 292 yards as the Ravens suffered their second consecutive defeat.

The Detroit Lions edged the Green Bay Packers 20-17, while the Los Angeles Rams returned to winning ways with a 35-21 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Pittsburgh Steelers also defeated the New Orleans Saints 16-10 in the NFL’s first game in France.
