Angel Reese tells male fan 'not in this lifetime' after he asked to marry her at WNBA Finals game

Angel Reese is in the middle of her first WNBA Finals series but still found time to respond to a male fan asking to marry her at Game 3.

Reese led the Atlanta Dream to a 97-71 win over the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday to take a 2-1 lead in the series and move two wins away from a first championship.

There was a huge crowd and raucous atmosphere at State Farm Arena for the game – including one male fan with a special message for Reese.

TikTok creator @tikibeen1 posted a clip watching the game with a sign saying: ‘Angel  will you marry me?’.

While she was not able to react from the court, the viral clip later was brought to her attention, generating a reply in the comments.

Reese responded: ‘Not in this lifetime but i have some fine friendsssss.’

Reese is currently dating Wendell Carter Jr, who plays in the NBA for the Orlando Magic.

He discussed his time supporting Reese during his offseason in a recent podcast with  Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson.

‘It’s been a great summer. A lot of hard work, a lot of relaxation, and a lot of support for my girl,’ Carter said. ‘It’s been good, man.’

Reese scored 21 points and had 12 rebounds and three steals to lead the Dream to Game 3 victory, her third straight double-double in the finals.

Their run to the finals has captured the imagination of those in Atlanta, prompting her to be asked about being a sports legend in the city she only joined earlier this year.

‘I’ve only been here six months, so I don’t know how y’all can give me that yet,’ Reese said in her postgame news conference.

‘My goal was to come to Atlanta and win a championship. And I think you become one of the greats and you come one of the best when you can win and impact winning.

‘And that’s all I wanted to do coming here. Everything else really doesn’t matter to me.’
