NBA star LaMelo Ball has sparked fury after admitting he refuses to change the diapers of his baby son.
Ball welcomed his first son, LaOne, with his model girlfriend Ana Montana in January, though they did not publicly announce his birth until May.
The 25-year-old claimed before the start of the new NBA season that the couple have a ‘good game plan’ when it comes to taking care of the 9-month-old.
He made the revelation on live TV to the hosts of ‘Inside the NBA’ before Wednesday night’s game between his Minnesota Timberwolves and the Miami Heat.
‘My girl do all that. It’s love, for sure,’ Ball said. ‘She do all that, you know what I’m saying? We got a good game plan going on.
‘So I know what I gotta do to bring to the table. She know what she gotta do to bring to the table.’

Host Ernie Johnson Jr. told Ball he did not know ‘what [he was] missing’ by not changing diapers.
‘I did it before, you feel me?’ he clarified. ‘I’ve definitely did it before, [but] it’s just not my job. You know what I’m saying? It’s not my job.’
Ball scored 21 points in a 131-106 win for his team to kick off the season, but still faced backlash for his revelations about his private life and parenting.
‘You couldnt waterboard this out of me,’ one fan responded. One comment said: ‘great father figure for sure.’
Another called it ‘so freaking disrespectful’ while one enraged fan added: ‘I guess its okay to be a f***ing deadbeat dad as long as you’re a millionaire athlete. What a loser.’
Ball’s girlfriend Montana shared a post about their son’s birth on May 10.
‘To my little ONE. thank you for choosing me to be your mommy,’ she wrote. ‘I love you more than any word could ever describe!
‘You’re my purpose and you’ve helped me become the woman I was always destined to be! Before I became your mommy, my heart was always looking for you, and we finally found each other in Gods perfect divine timing.
‘We love you so much baby boy! You are living proof that dreams come true.’

Ball’s girlfriend was arrested on felony drug charges last month in Mecklenburg County
The couple sparked dating rumors in late 2021 then went public in June 2023. However, Montana, whose real name is Analicia Chaves, is currently facing two felony counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery.
She is also facing two misdemeanor counts of simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, dating back to February 21.
Montana was held by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina on a $20,000 bond, with a mugshot released after her arrest days after a warrant was issued on September 22.
