Osimhen Responds to Galatasaray Fans After Criticism

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has responded to criticism from Galatasaray fans following his recent performances for the Turkish champions.

The 27-year-old faced criticism over his offside positions and attitude towards teammates when the team was struggling.

The criticism came after Galatasaray’s 4-1 defeat to Barcelona and their narrow 1-0 victory over Gençlerbirliği.

However, Osimhen bounced back on Wednesday night, scoring against his former club Lille to help Galatasaray secure a 4-2 victory in the UEFA Champions League.

His performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

Speaking after the game, Osimhen said he was not bothered by the negative comments, adding that he was used to facing challenges.

“I come from a place where I’m not afraid; I don’t fear difficulties. No one can tell me how to sprint, how to play or how to score goals. I already do these things, and that’s why I’m one of the world’s best strikers,” he said.

The Nigerian forward also dismissed suggestions that the criticism was affecting him.

“They don’t really know me, and nothing they say affects me. They want to drag me into that, but I’ve approached all the talk with indifference. I have other things to deal with; I’m not bothering with these,” he added.

Osimhen will now look to maintain his form as Galatasaray continue their campaign in domestic and European competitions.
