The Atlanta Dream moved one step closer to their first WNBA title with an emphatic performance from superstar Angel Reese.
Reese became the youngest player in WNBA Finals history to record three straight double-doubles as the Dream dominated the Golden State Valkyries 97-71. She also became the first player in WNBA history to record three double-doubles in her first three career WNBA Finals games.
She shot 58 percent from the field to achieve her statline of 21 points and 12 rebounds along with three assists and three steals.
Reese’s confidence shone through during the contest, with the Dream center bullying other bigs down low.
At one point in the game, after she scored a tough layup on Aminata Gueye, she was seen celebrating with her bench, saying, ‘She can’t f*** with me.’
Reese also displayed her flair with a dramatic no-look over-the-head pass for Isobel Borlase which led to a foul late in the game.

The Dream are now just two wins away from their first ever WNBA championship
After the game, Reese took to social media to celebrate, posting ‘DUBS IN THE MF CHATTT’ on her X account.
In a post-game press conference, Reese praised the Dream fans that packed State Farm Arena: ‘Our fans showed up. They showed up in every single possession.’
‘I thought Ballhalla [Golden State] was loud. Atlanta, y’all came out. And on a Wednesday, on a school night, they got work tomorrow. I appreciate y’all for coming out and supporting us.’
Reese’s teammates Rhyne Howard, Jordin Canada and Naz Hillmon combined for 41 points on a night where the Dream hit nearly half their shots.
As for the Valkyries, Gabby Williams led Golden State with 15 points – but shot just 27 percent from the field on a night where the road team hit only 35 percent of their shots from the floor.
The Dream have the chance to take a commanding three-games-to-one lead over Golden State at home on Saturday afternoon.
