Angel Reese Makes WNBA Finals History as Atlanta Dream Beat Golden State Valkyries

Angel Reese delivered an impressive performance as the Atlanta Dream defeated the Golden State Valkyries 97–71 in Game 3 of the 2026 WNBA Finals on Wednesday, October 21, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Reese finished with 21 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, three steals and two three-pointers, shooting seven of 12 from the field. Her all-around contribution helped Atlanta secure a convincing 26-point victory in front of its home crowd.

The performance further strengthened Reese’s place in WNBA Finals history. She joined A’ja Wilson as the only players to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds across a three-game span in the Finals, highlighting her consistency on the championship stage.

Atlanta took control of the contest and pulled away from Golden State to secure the win, taking a 2–1 lead in the best-of-seven series. The Dream’s strong performance at both ends of the court proved too much for the Valkyries to handle.

Reese’s scoring and rebounding have been important to Atlanta’s progress in the Finals. With the series advantage now in their hands, the Dream will look to build on this performance in Game 4 as they continue their pursuit of the WNBA championship
