Champions League RECAP: Liverpool fight back to beat Villarreal in seven-goal thriller, Phil Foden hits hat-trick for Man City against AEK Athens

Yep, we aren’t stopping smothering Rio Ngumoha in praise just yet.

I mean, come on… he was just immense. It was truly the Rio Ngumoha show tonight, so you can’t blame us for getting a little excited in the media – he has the potential to be a generational talent.

The stats say everything really. Ngumoha completed seven dribbles tonight, making him just the fourth player to complete that many dribbles or more in multiple Champions League games as a teenager.

He puts his name alongside the likes of Lamine Yamal (4), Cristiano Ronaldo (3) and Arjen Robben (2). Not bad company, eh?

Not just that, but Ngumoha is also the youngest player on record since 2008-09 to complete five or more dribbles (7), have 10 or more touches in the opposition box (12) and register an assist (2) in a Champions League match.

He loves a record, this lad. They just keep on tumbling.
