Jude Bellingham has reached a full agreement on a new five-year contract at Real Madrid following lengthy talks with the club’s hierarchy.
The England international has cemented himself as one of the best midfielders in world football since his arrival at the Bernabeu, and Los Blancos have now secured his services until 2031, as first reported by Diario AS.
It’s reported that contract extension talks began at the end of last season, and the 23-year-old has been rewarded with an improved salary following a sensational World Cup with England, in which he scored seven goals en route to the Three Lions’ best finish since 1966.
News of Bellingham’s imminent new deal has been confirmed by football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, who posted on X: “Jude Bellingham agrees to sign [a] new long term contract at Real Madrid.
“Verbal agreement in place, formal steps yet to happen but next in line after Arda Guler and [Thibaut] Courtois. The agreement will be for five years.”
Bellingham, whose Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €139.5 million, has scored three goals and provided three assists in 10 games across all competitions so far this season.
Jude Bellingham ends transfer speculation
A move to the Premier League has never seemed particularly likely for Bellingham, but Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been tentatively linked with the England superstar during his time at Real Madrid.
However, he has now ended any transfer speculation by agreeing a new five-year contract at the Bernabeu, with Bellingham set to play a starring role for Los Blancos over the coming seasons.
Vinicius Junior, however, faces an uncertain long-term future at the club, despite penning a new deal in August. The Brazil winger has endured a tough start to the new season and rumours suggest that a sale may be considered in 2027 amid the club’s pursuit of Bayern Munich attacker Michael Olise.
