Pat Mahomes Sr, the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has been given permission to travel to attend his son’s NFL games as he remains on probation over a criminal case.
Mahomes Sr, a former MLB star, was arrested for felony DWI in Texas back in 2024.
As a part of his plea deal, Mahomes Sr agreed to serve five years of probation and a year of ‘intense supervision.’
Other terms of the deal included one year of a suspended driver’s license, completing community service and submitting to regular drug screening.
According to TMZ, the elder Mahomes filed documents with the court to get permission to attend games in Kansas City, Las Vegas and Cincinnati.
Per the outlet, Senior was granted permission to attend Chiefs home games, but wasn’t allowed to attend the game in Las Vegas this past weekend or the Cincinnati game in December.

He sought permission to attend this weekend’s away game in Las Vegas, but was denied
As part of the agreement, Patrick Sr will have to submit to urine tests with his probation officer before and after he travels each time.
In the filing, Mahomes Sr says he has completed 160 hours of community service as well as an outpatient treatment program.
His probation officer also told the court that there have been no issues with his SCRAM alcohol monitor device and no issues with drug and alcohol testing.
Mahomes the quarterback has been having a strong season after a preseason dedicated to recovering from a torn ACL.
After missing the final few games of the season due to the injury, the Chiefs star hasn’t skipped a beat and has already racked up over 1,000 passing yards and nine passing touchdowns.
The Chiefs are on a bye this week and will host the Los Angeles Chargers on October 18.
