Arsenal face stiff competition from Real Madrid in the race to sign Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Yildiz is developing a reputation as one of the best wingers in Europe having registered 27 goals and 21 assists in 132 games in Italy.
Such has been the form of the 21-year-old that Arsenal have developed a serious interest in signing him, according to The Athletic.
The Gunners made an enquiry for the Turkey international in the summer transfer window, with Juventus making it clear he was not for sale.
However, despite that stance, Italian newspaper Gazzetta understands La Liga heavyweights Real are also keen on Yildiz.
Real president Florentino Perez is believed to be sweet on Yildiz, who reportedly holds a valuation of at least €100million (£85.7m).
Yildiz, who emerged through Juventus’ youth system in August 2023, is contracted to the Serie A giants until 2030.
He has not represented Turkey in the Nations League during the international break as he is currently sidelined with a broken foot.
Yildiz has scored five goals in 31 caps for Turkey and represented them at the 2024 European Championship and the 2026 World Cup.
Arsenal also pursued summer deals for Alvarez & Vinicius
In addition to Yildiz, Arsenal also pursued deals for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez and Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior in the summer.
The Premier League champions were keen to make a marquee signing up top but were unable to extract any of their top targets.
BBC Sport understands Arsenal were also interested in Como attacking midfielder Nico Paz and Morgan Rogers before he joined Chelsea.
The north London club did reinforce their attack with the signing of Christos Tzolis from Belgian Pro League outfit Club Brugge for €40m (£35m), however.
Arsenal return to action when they play host to Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday, 10 October following the international break.
Mikel Arteta’s side have won seven of their eight games in 2026-27, losing 3-0 at Brighton and Hove Albion in their last fixture on 19 September.
