Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has spilled behind-the-scenes details of Taylor Swift’s music video shoot.
Eagle-eyed football fans spotted the reigning NFL MVP and his wife, Kelly, in the background of the pop sensation’s video for her new hit, Patient Zero, over the weekend.
The couple, who attended Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce in July, appeared alongside two-time Stanley Cup champion Jarret Stoll and businessman Steve Cundari, who also attended the star-studded bash at MSG with their respective partners, sports reporters Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson.
Stafford has now lifted the lid on the experience, revealing that it was an incredible memory for all his family.
On an episode of the SiriusXM ‘Let’s Go!’ podcast released on Monday, Stafford described it as ‘a cool experience.’
The veteran signal caller also expressed his gratitude for how the singer embraced his wife and their four daughters.

‘She’s been amazing to get to know, and obviously amazing to my wife and my girls,’ Stafford continued. ‘It was kind of that connection that got me involved and some of my buddies. So, it was a really cool experience.’
Stafford recalled watching Swift ‘directing, producing, editing, running the show, obviously the lead singer,’ and said, ‘It’s a pretty impressive thing, and I was really happy to be a part of it.’
The former Super Bowl winner shares four young girls with his wife Kelly – twins Sawyer and Chandler, 9, Hunter, 8, and 6-year-old Tyler.
He revealed that he brought his daughters to the set with him, allowing them the chance to watch him shoot his cameo.
‘My girls were there on the set, got to see how all that was done and how (Swift) kind of carries herself, which is unbelievable,’ he said as he continued to gush over the experience.
He added: ‘I know my girls will never forget being there, seeing all that on set, which was cool.’
Throughout the video, Stafford and his wife, Kelly, made appearances in the background of a few sequences. This included a moment when they were seen dancing together.
The Staffords were joined in the video by Hollywood actors Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson.

Swift debuted the video at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.
She directed the production, which was shown as she accepted MTV’s inaugural Artist Director Honors.
The Staffords attended Swift’s wedding to fellow NFL star Kelce over the summer at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The couple have paid homage to Swift and Kelce in the past, dressing up as the pair for Halloween in 2024.
Plus, their daughters were spotted imitating the dance to Swift’s song ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ during a game last December.
