Nigerian professional wreestler, Isaac Odugbesan (Oba Femi) survived another wave of hostility and a fierce gang-up by some of his rivals at World Wrestling Enterttainkent (WWE), as they combined in an attempt to bring him down through illegal interventions.
Sports247 reports that the latest gang-up against Oba Femi came during WWE’s penultimate night of fights in the United States of America, when several grapplers under the banner of ‘The Vision’ interfered with his outing in the ring and launched a double teammed attack on him.
Leading the barage was Bronson Reed, who returned to help Bron Breakker take out Oba Femi at WWE’s Main Event and, though ‘The Ruler’ was eventually declared winner by disqualification, observers acknowledged growing hostility aginst the Nigerian giant.
Before the interference, Breakker and Oba Femi put on a strong battle but, when things appeared tilting in favour of the Nigerian, infrigements came from Austin Theory, Logan Paul, Maxxine Dupri and finally, the surprise return of Reed, who had been out for many months with an injury.
The fight lasted 14 minutes and Bleacher Report graded it a B-plus, with the major spotlight being on Reed, whose major undoing was how he took a chair shot, following which he and Breakker viciously double-teamed Oba Femi, until officials came foward to stop them.
A report by Drake Riggs of Uncrowned revealed in part, “You could have bet your life’s savings this one wouldn’t have a clean finish, and sure enough it ended in chaos that involved every member of The Vision – even the returning Bronson Reed.
“A super trimmed-down Reed hit the ring after Austin Theory got slammed through the table and Logan Paul got caught trying to hand Bron Breakker brass knuckles. Reed slammed a chair into Oba Femi’s back numerous times and the match ended with Reed and Breakker trading finishers on Femi.”
