EPL: Saka, Bruno On Target As Arsenal Edge Sunderland

Bruno Guimarães and Bukayo Saka were on target as Arsenal defeated Sunderland 2-0 in Saturday’s Premier League game to maintain the gunners’ 100% winning record this ongoing season.

In 55 minutes, Gunners defender Ezri Konsa was penalised for pulling down Dan Ballard in the box, but goalkeeper Raya read Enzo le Fee’s penalty with a superb save low to his left.

Bruno Guimaraes netted his first goal for his new side, as the former Newcastle United man scored a stunner at the Stadium of Light.

The returning Jurrien Timber thought he had doubled the visitors’ tally with a bullet header from Martin Odegaard’s free kick, but it was ruled out for offside.

Saka sealed victory with a 97th-minute penalty via Roefs’ fingers, converting after Reinildo had received a second booking for bringing down the England winger.

The Gunners are three points above Manchester City, who visit Manchester United on Sunday, while Sunderland remain 14th, on four points.

By finding a way to succeed once again, Mikel Arteta’s men extended their 100% start to the season with six wins from six in all competitions, including four in the Premier League to put them top of the table.
