Defending Premier League champions Arsenal have been nominated for the 2026 Ballon d’Or Men’s Club of the Year award.
Organisers of the award, Ballon d’Or, confirmed Arsenal’s nomination on their X handle on Tuesday.
The Gunners were shortlisted alongside Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, Champions League title holders Paris Saint-Germain, Brazilian giants Flamengo and Norwegian outfit Bodo/Glimt.
“We have been nominated for the Ballon d’Or Men’s Club of the Year award in the 2026 Ballon d’Or shortlist,” Arsenal wrote on their website.
“The annual awards highlight the very best players and clubs from the previous season, and our Premier League title triumph, coupled with our run to the Champions League Final, have seen us nominated for the top club award.

“We won the league title by seven points, winning 26 top flight games, including the final five games of the season to secure top spot over Manchester City.
“In the Champions League, we beat the likes of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan in the league phase before knocking out Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting CP and Atletico Madrid on our way to Budapest.
“As well as ourselves, European champions Paris Saint-Germain and South American champions Flamengo make the shortlist, alongside Norway’s Bodo/Glimt and German champions Bayern Munich.
“The winners of all of the Ballon d’Or awards will be announced at a special ceremony on Monday, October 26, which for the first time in the 70-year history of the awards, will take place in London.”
Arsenal have made a near-perfect start to their 2026/27 Premier League title defence, winning all three league games while also lifting the Community Shield thrashing Manchester City 3-0.
They are second in the table (level on points and goal difference with Manchester City, but behind on goals scored), with a plus five goal difference after scoring six and conceding just one.
This marks the first time since their 2003/04 Invincibles season that they have won their opening three Premier League matches while conceding fewer than two goals.
