Man City boss Enzo Maresca has poured cold water on reports linking his side with a move for Enzo Fernandez.
Argentina and Chelsea star Fernandez, 25, had been the subject of interest from City this summer, with Maresca previously enjoying a strong relationship with the midfielder during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Fernandez returned to training earlier this week after the World Cup and the Blues gave their Premier League rivals a deadline of Friday at 5PM to make a move for the 25-year-old, who they valued at £120million.
However, when pressed on that red line and whether City would do any business today, Maresca said: ‘Not today to be honest. I don’t think we’re going to do something today.’
