The New York Yankees’ game against the Seattle Mariners was forced into a delay on Wednesday when three fans stormed the field.
The Yankees clinched a 10-5 comeback win over the Mariners in the Bronx and the resurgent triumph wasn’t without its fair share of dramatics.
The fifth inning erupted into chaos when three spectators hopped over the wall and attempted to sprint towards center field.
However their attempt was swiftly thwarted as the security staff at Yankee Stadium quickly leapt into action.
The guards ruthlessly tackled the young men to the ground, interrupting play for around three minutes, per the New York Post.
It even required multiple security officials to halt one of the field invaders with the scuffle resulting in him having his shirt torn off.
Meanwhile, another was shoved all the way back to the warning track. The third was escorted off the field, while the other two remained pinned in place.

Despite the interruption, the incident appeared to mark a change in the Yankees’ fortunes as their comeback soon followed.
The Bronx Bombers trailed 5-3 at the time, before going on to level the score with two runs later in the inning kickstarting their comeback.
Trent Grisham homered twice and hit a go-ahead double in the seventh inning as the Yankees erased an early deficit.
Yankees rookie Spencer Jones had three RBIs in his second start batting third. He hit a two-run double in the third and a tying double in the fifth.
Grisham went deep off starter Bryce Miller in the fifth, when the Yankees evened it at 5 after trailing by three. After his double off reliever Gabe Speier (2-3) scored rookie George Lombard Jr. in New York´s three-run seventh, Grisham added a two-run homer off Nick Davila in the eighth to finish with four RBIs from the leadoff spot.
Grisham had his ninth career multihomer game and fifth three-hit game this season. He also scored three times as the Yankees reached double digits in runs for the first time since July 9 at Tampa Bay and 11th time overall.
Ben Rice followed Grisham´s tiebreaking double with a hard RBI single that skipped over shortstop Colt Emerson´s glove. Jazz Chisholm Jr. drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 8-5 after the Mariners intentionally walked Heliot Ramos.
