Cameroon goalkeeper Michaely Bihina has expressed her delight following the Indomitable Lionesses’ victory over the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
Valentine Nguélé’s side booked a place in the semi-finals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the 10-time champions.
The victory also ensured that the Indomitable Lionesses will represent Africa at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Myriam Nyadjou scored the decisive goal from a free-kick in the 19th minute.
The Super Falcons dominated proceedings and pushed relentlessly for an equaliser, but Bihina produced a superb performance to keep Nigeria at bay.

Bihina Talks Up Important Victory
Bihina, who was named Player of the Match, praised her teammates for their collective effort in securing the victory.
The 22-year-old also expressed satisfaction at helping Cameroon end their barren run against the Super Falcons.
“It’s a feeling of pride, our qualification that we wanted so much. We managed to break the curse against Nigeria, we turned things around. It’s the work of the whole team, not just mine,” Bihina told CAF media.
Cameroon will now face hosts Morocco in the semi-finals on Wednesday as they continue their quest for a first WAFCON title.
