NPFL Set For New Title Sponsor

The league boss further disclosed that the development would translate to “more money” for the clubs.

This marks a major financial boost for Nigerian club football ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Bet9ja has sponsored the NPFL since December 2021, after the former league managers, the League Management Company (LMC), entered into a sponsorship agreement with the betting company in September 2021.

“What this means is that there is going to be more money for the clubs at the end. In the next two weeks, we will call a press conference for the unveiling, and the media will be invited.”

The sponsorship is understood to be an initial three-year deal worth $7.5 million.
The expected new title sponsor would provide the NPFL with an opportunity to further strengthen its commercial structure while increasing the financial returns available to clubs.
