Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.
There has been no formal approach to open club-to-club talks as of yet, it is understood, but sources have confirmed to Daily Mail Sport that Spurs currently have the 25-year-old Senegalese under consideration.
Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi wants to add to his attack after spending almost £250million on bolstering his defensive and midfield departments, with Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi among their signings.
Speaking during their pre-season tour in Sydney, Australia, De Zerbi told reporters that he estimated their window was only ‘60 per cent’ complete. He also admitted Richarlison, who scored Spurs’ stoppage-time winner in a 2-1 friendly win over Chelsea, could yet leave this summer.
Chelsea are understood to value Jackson at £65m, with Aston Villa also among his admirers. Villa would have to strike a permanent deal due to having already taken Alejandro Garnacho on loan. Jackson is open to leaving Chelsea for more guaranteed game time.
Tottenham, whose sporting director is Johan Lange, formerly of Villa, have admired Jackson for some time including before De Zerbi’s arrival as their head coach.

Business between Spurs and Chelsea is rare. In 2001, Gus Poyet joined Tottenham for a small fee. In 2009, Spurs signed Carlo Cudicini on a free after Chelsea agreed to cut short his contract. In February of this year, Joel Vidal-Philbert joined Tottenham’s academy from Chelsea’s.
Chelsea currently have too many strikers on their books after signing Danny Welbeck, and with the arrival of the 35-year-old from Brighton, it is accepted they need to sell or loan at least two.
As well as Jackson and Welbeck, they also have Liam Delap, Emmanuel Emegha, Marc Guiu and Joao Pedro, the 24-year-old Brazilian who is likelier to sign a new contract than be sold.
Jackson is among their more sellable strikers as he is still highly regarded within football. He spent the 2025-26 season on loan with Bayern Munich after his relationship broke down with Enzo Maresca at Chelsea, but did impress at Stamford Bridge before leaving. He reached double figures in Premier League goals in both the 2024-25 and 2023-24 campaigns for the Blues.
Jackson is now with the Chelsea squad in Hong Kong, having joined up with his team-mates after downtime following his World Cup campaign with Senegal. Manager Xabi Alonso wanted to take a closer look at the striker before deciding what they do next. Chelsea face Juventus in a friendly on Wednesday.
