Liverpool set to make opening Barcola offer

Liverpool are set to make a bid for Bradley Barcola after the Paris Saint-Germain star gave his priority to joining the Premier League giants.

Barcola is not looking to renew his contract at PSG and, with two years left on his deal, the French giants have placed a price tag of €170 million on the 23-year-old’s head.

Liverpool are unlikely to meet those demands and eSPORTY claim that the Merseyside outfit’s initial valuation is around £80m (€93.3m), similar to their opening offer for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, which was rejected.

Although Barcola is Liverpool’s top target, the Reds have no desire to overpay and have other targets in mind should PSG refuse to negotiate.

Real Madrid looking to keep hold of Vinicius Junior

Arsenal have been handed a devastating blow to their transfer plans after a report from Sky Sports claiming that Real Madrid have no intention of selling Vinicius Junior this summer.

Vini Jr has emerged as Arsenal’s top target in attack amid a standoff with Real Madrid over his contract, which is due to expire next summer, however the Spanish giants are said to be ‘confident’ that a new deal will be agreed.

Arsenal are still monitoring the situation but further talks are expected this week between Vinicius and Madrid with the intention of making progress on signing a new long-term contract with Los Blancos.

Previous reports had claimed that Arsenal were willing to make Vini their highest-paid player ever but Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is keen to keep hold of the Brazilian even with the anticipated arrival of Yan Diomande in attack.

Barca make Kroupi bid

Barcelona have activated ‘plan B’ after growing frustrated in their pursuit of Julian Alvarez, with Eli Junior Kroupi now in the club’s sights to solve their striker issues.

Atletico Madrid have insisted they will not sell Alvarez to Barca this summer despite repeated attempts by Barca, which has led to the Catalan side attempting a move for Kroupi in recent weeks.

According to L’Equipe, two offers were made to Bournemouth, both totalling less than €100m. The bids were rejected by the Cherries, who do not wish to part ways with their young star.

Kroupi is said to be thrilled at the prospect of joining Barcelona and has informed his representatives of his desire to move to the club, although Bournemouth have refused to open their stance to a sale.

Juve make Zirkzee intentions clear

Juventus have registered an interest in signing Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United this summer, ESPN claim.

Zirkzee is expected to leave Old Trafford after failing to become a first team regular since his arrival in 2024, although United would prefer to sell him permanently rather than entertain loan offers.

Juve are said to be exploring all possibilities and have not made a formal offer but United are aware of their interest, with a loan to buy deal not being ruled out.

Ajax are also thought to have enquired about Zirkzee as well as two Premier League clubs, while United could look to replace the Dutchman if he does leave.
