Done Deal: Arokodare Joins Ajax On Loan

Tolu Arokodare has completed a loan move to Dutch giants Ajax from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Completesports.com reports.

Ajax reportedly secured an option to make the move permanent for €18 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, the former European champions will shoulder the striker’s entire wage package.

“Ajax have reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding the loan signing of Tolu Arokodare. The 25-year-old striker joins Ajax on a one-season loan deal until the summer of 2027. The agreement includes an option to buy for Ajax,” the Eredivisie club announced on their official website.

Arokodare, who joined Wolves from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk last summer was previously linked with Serie A teams Fiorentina and Genoa.

Ajax technical director Jordi Cruijff said he is pleased to have the striker join the club.

“With Tolu, we are bringing in a striker with a profile that we did not previously have in the squad. He is a physically strong player who has already proven himself to be a goalscorer. We are confident that he will make an important contribution to the team next season,” Cruijff said.
