Less than 24 hours after the WNBA All-Star Game concluded, another bombshell rocked the league when a star guard accused her ex-girlfriend of infidelity.
Chicago Sky star DiJonai Carrington revealed that she ended her relationship with longtime girlfriend NaLyssa Smith after she was cheated on.
Carrington and Smith began dating in 2020 while they were both members of the women’s basketball team at Baylor University.
The two continued to date while they played on different WNBA teams before briefly playing together on the Dallas Wings last season.
But on Sunday morning, Carrington dropped the previously unknown bombshell of Smith’s infidelity with a pair of league rivals.

Smith has not responded publicly to Carrington’s claim on her social media platforms.
Additionally, neither Kelly or Nye have made any public statements addressing the accusation.
Kelly and Nye both entered the league last season. Nye was drafted 13th overall in the second round out of Alabama while Kelly went undrafted out of Oregon.
Both players signed contracts with the Las Vegas Aces in 2025.
They both made their debuts in a May 2 preseason game against the Dallas Wings, the team both Carrington and Smith were playing on at the time.
While Kelly was waived by the Aces on May 12, Nye remained on the team throughout the season.
On June 30, Smith was traded to the Aces in exchange for Las Vegas’ 2027 first-round pick.
Both Kelly and Nye signed contracts with the Las Vegas Aces in 2025. That team, which won the 2025 WNBA Finals, traded for Smith earlier in the season
Carrington, who had previously been dealing with a foot injury, is set to return soon
With Nye, Smith and the Aces won the 2025 WNBA title – sweeping the Phoenix Mercury in four games.
In the offseason, Nye was picked eighth overall by the Toronto Tempo in the 2026 WNBA Expansion Draft before being waived by the team. She eventually signed a deal with the Atlanta Dream.
Carrington revealed in November 2025 that he relationship with Smith ended, stating at the time, ‘We’re good, but we’re not together anymore.’
She added, ‘It was on good terms – we just grew in different directions.’
Carrington is set to make her debut for the Sky after the All-Star Break. She had previously been out with a foot injury.
