“This Is To Those Saying, ‘I Don’t Support R@pe, But Why Did She Visit a Man She Didn’t Know?’…” ~ Lady Reacts To The Late Favour And The Ongoing Case Involving Asaba-Based Content Creator Odogwu Asaba

A lady has spoken out strongly against people who blame victims in rape cases. Her message is directed at those saying things like “I don’t support rape, but why did she visit a man she didn’t know?” The reaction came after the sad story of 20-year-old Favour Agbro from Warri who died by suicide after accusing a popular content creator of raping her.

The incident happened in Asaba, Delta State. Favour had gone to Asaba to meet Ifeanyi Ogbonna, better known as Odogwu Asaba, a 40-year-old content creator. She said he raped her under the excuse of helping her with content creation. In an emotional video she recorded before her death, Favour named Odogwu Asaba and explained what happened. She later took her own life.ѕєє тнє ν!∂єσ нєяє

Delta State Police arrested Odogwu Asaba on Tuesday, July 15, 2026, at his residence in Asaba. He is now at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) and is expected to be paraded soon. Police are investigating the case.

The lady who reacted said many people are quick to blame the victim instead of the rapist. She stressed that no woman deserves to be raped, no matter where she goes or who she meets. Her message has been shared widely on social media as the story trends.

The case has caused a lot of anger and discussion across Nigeria. Many people are talking about victim-blaming, how young girls are exploited in content creation, and the need for justice.

On X (formerly Twitter), reactions have been very strong. One user said: “This is painful. No girl should go through this. Justice for Favour!”
