Lamine Yamal will be wearing his customised boots in the World Cup final this weekend when Spain take on France in New York.
The 19-year-old starlet is making his first appearance in the tournament and he’s now just a victory away from winning it.

He’s yet to score or provide an assist in North America for La Roja, but he’s still made a huge impact on his side’s success.
And now, they’re on the brink of their second-ever World Cup win, having made the final for the first time in 16 years.
Yamal will hope that he finds his scoring form when it matters most, as he wears his special boots for a special occasion.
Fans noticed some customisation to his boots back at Euro 2024, with the flags of both Morocco and Equatorial Guinea proudly displayed – and he’s still had them on show at the World Cup…
Why Yamal has Equatorial Guinea and Morocco flags on his Spain boots?
The teenager was born in Catalonia, but his parents come from Morocco and Equatorial Guinea.
As such, Yamal had the opportunity to represent either nation internationally but opted to play for the nation of his birth.
The flags’ inclusion on the boots he wears for Spain are a tribute to his father’s homeland in Morocco and his mother’s in Equatorial Guinea.
Things could have worked out very differently for Yamal, as he could have represented any of the three nations, but he chose Spain.
Morocco did try to get Yamal to play for them, but they were unsuccessful.
In 2023, the Moroccan FA’s president, Fouzi Lekjaa, claimed they held a meeting with Yamal and his parents, but he rejected the chance to play for Morocco.

Lekjaa said: “We conveyed our project to him and his family, but Lamine was already convinced about going to Spain.
“Spain and Morocco are separated by 14 kilometres, and it is normal for these things to happen. I respect Lamine.”
So, Yamal might not have chosen to play for Morocco or Equatorial Guinea, but he still holds them close to his heart, and they will be with him when he takes to the pitch in New York…
