Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge in a deal worth £34million, eSPORTY understands.
The 24-year-old is having his move to the Gunners formalised after talks accelerated on Thursday, following the departure of cult hero Leandro Trossard to Besiktas in a £17m deal.

Should the transfer be completed, it would make Tzolis the most expensive Greek player of all time – eclipsing the £31.4m fee Brighton paid to sign Charalampos Kostoulas from Olympiacos last summer.
And the winger is also set to become the most expensive sale in Belgian Pro League history – breaking a four-year record.
Charles De Ketelaere has been the record departure as a result of his £29.7m move from Brugge to AC Milan.
Going Tzol in
Mikel Arteta will be hoping Tzolis will be able to replicate Trossard’s goalscoring exploits from the left wing.
During the 31-year-old forward’s three-and-a-half-year stint in north London, he chipped in with 36 goals and 34 assists in 174 games across all competitions.
But Tzolis has shown he has an eye for goal since joining Brugge in 2024 from Norwich City.
In his first season in Belgium, he found the back of the net 21 times from 56 matches.
And the 2025/26 campaign proved to be his most successful to date as he chipped in with 22 goals and 29 assists from 52 games – firing Brugge to the league title.
Only Bayern Munich duo Harry Kane [68] and Michael Olise [54] registered more goal involvements than Tzolis’ 51 in world football.
In total for Brugge, he has scored 43 goals and provided 45 assists in 108 appearances across his two years there.

Heading back to England
Tzolis has experience of playing in England, having been on Norwich’s books between 2021-2024 – a spell which saw him shipped off on loan twice to FC Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Ironically, the 34-cap Greece international made his Premier League debut against Arsenal at the Emirates in September 2021.
That game was one of 14 top-flight outings Tzolis made for the Canaries, with the player failing to chip in with a single goal involvement.
But he has found his shooting boots since departing Carrow Road – starting with his initial loan spell at Dusseldorf in the 2023/24 term – where he scored on 24 occasions.
Who else have Arsenal been linked with?
eSPORTY understands that Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers is Arsenal’s top target this window.
And the deal for Tzolis is separate from the pursuit of Rogers.
The Gunners are also keen to sign Newcastle skipper Bruno Guimaraes, though the two clubs differ regarding the Brazilian’s valuation.
Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez is another player that is admired by Arsenal, while Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has also been linked.
