London pupil, 17, dies while snorkelling on school trip in Lake Malawi

The pupil, 17, was snorkelling in Malawi while on a trip with Hampton School when he vanished, the Malawi Police Service said

A 17-year-old pupil from a school in London has died while snorkelling on a trip to Malawi.

Malawi Police Service (MPS) named the boy as Eugene Enoch Kwon, who attended Hampton School in south-west London.

Pupils from the school had been snorkelling in Lake Malawi in Cape Maclear, Monkey Bay, on Tuesday when he vanished.
