Iraq’s Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi has “strongly condemned” a drone attack in the city of Erbil in the Kurdistan region.
“We affirm that we will not tolerate these sinful attempts, which in desperation seek to undermine the stability of our people and their confident path toward building the state and societal peace,” he said in a post on X.
Earlier, several explosions were heard late on Wednesday near the US consulate in Erbil.
