The 2026 summer transfer window is heating up ahead of the new campaign and several major deals are set to be officially announced shortly as the biggest clubs in world football look to bolster their first-team squads.
The World Cup is nearly over and a number of the best players on the planet are likely to secure high-profile moves once the tournament is over.
Tottenham Hotspur have been the busiest club in the transfer market so far this summer, with the north London outfit spending over €260 million on Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka.
Their arch-rivals Arsenal, on the other hand, have signed Piero Hincapie on a permanent deal following his loan spell at the club last season, and Illan Meslier has arrived on a Bosman deal from Leeds United.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have also been active in the market, signing Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha, Dastan Satpaev and Denner, while selling Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid, Andrey Santos to Manchester United and Tyrique George to Everton. Youngster Jesse Derry has joined Sporting CP on loan.
Manchester City have signed Elliot Anderson for a club-record fee, in addition to Mathys Detourbet and Jeremy Monga, while Man Utd have purchased Youri Tielemans, Karl Darlow and the aforementioned Santos. Liverpool have bolstered Andoni Iraola’s squad with the signings of Osasuna winger Victor Munoz and Stade Rennais defender Jeremy Jacquet.
Outside of England, Barcelona have signed Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon for €80m, and their El Clasico rivals Real Madrid have purchased Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries.
Bayern Munich have completed a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown and AC Milan have signed Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos for a whopping €74m.
