The newest member of the Milwaukee Bucks isn’t feeling very sentimental about his time with the Miami Heat.
As Tyler Herro told ESPN’s Shams Charania, he has no interest in discussing the reported physical altercation that occurred between himself and ex-Heat teammate Bam Adebayo at the ongoing NBA summer league in Las Vegas.
‘Honestly, I’m just trying to move past all of it,’ Herro told ESPN. ‘I’m focused on Milwaukee and building something special. They obviously just traded the greatest player in their history, so we want to come in and help continue what they’ve been doing.’
Adebayo allegedly approached Herro at a practice court inside a Sin City Hotel on Friday morning to confront his former teammate about social media post. The two had played together for seven years in Miami before Herro was dealt to the Bucks in exchange for Giannis Antetokounmpo earlier this month.
It is unclear what was said between the two former teammates, but according to ESPN, Adebayo did not appreciate what he heard from Herro, and responded by knocking the 26-year-old to the ground.
Herro reportedly returned to his feet and tried to strike back, but was blocked by bystanders.

The good news for Herro is that he now gets to play in his hometown of Milwaukee, where he grew up before enrolling at Kentucky, getting drafted by the Heat and ultimately winning the 2022 NBA Sixth Man of the Year award.
‘I’m ready to come home and not prove everyone wrong,’ he said, ‘but just be able to represent the city and the state because I wanted to do that coming out of school as well.’
Herro previously shared a graphic on social media depicting Adebayo and his new teammate, Antetokounmpo, as the NBA’s two worst mid-range shooters. The perception among fans is that Herro was predicting Antetokounmpo and Adebayo would struggle to play together.
Although he and Adebayo aren’t sitting down for tea anytime soon, Herro has been quick to declare his fondness for Miami.
‘It’s all love in Miami,’ Herro told Amazon Prime on Friday. ‘I’ve seen a couple of the guys, coaching staff. [Assistant coach] Chris Quinn, [head coach Erik Spoelstra].

‘We’re all good in Miami, and an opportunity for both sides to reset and get a fresh start. We’re both super happy for this.
‘I mean, it’s part of the business,’ he continued. ‘A place like in Miami, and organization like Miami, they wanted championships, they play for championships, and it’s part of the business.
‘I know how good I am, and what I’m capable of. And I just got to continue to keep working and try to stay healthy and just represent this new team how I’m supposed to.’
The Heat are coming off a 10th-place finish and an NBA play-in tournament berth while the Bucks finished 11th in the East, missing the postseason for the first time in a decade.
