One of the standout last-16 ties on paper at the 2026 World Cup sees Brazil take on Norway at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
Both sides have impressed across this tournament to date. Brazil remain unbeaten through four matches, while Norway’s only defeat came against tournament favourites France in the group stage – a game in which they were without star striker Erling Haaland.
Each nation also left it late to book their place in the last 16. Brazil came from 1-0 down to beat Japan 2-1, with the winner arriving in the 96th minute, while Haaland struck in the 86th minute as Norway edged past Ivory Coast 2-1.
