Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Wednesday it had carried out attacks on US sites and facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait, describing the operation as a response to what it called American aggression.
The IRGC claimed it had destroyed the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet, as well as fuel facilities and military equipment in Bahrain, according to Reuters.
It also said it had targeted the US military logistics support centre at Abdullah Port in Kuwait, claiming it had set the site on fire and destroyed it. The group added that it had also struck the port itself.
Iranian state media, quoting the country’s military, also reported that US military facilities at Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan had been targeted for a second time.

The IRGC said the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed “until America’s evil comes to an end”, signalling that the military escalation between Tehran and Washington is continuing.
Separately, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had carried out a new round of military strikes against Iranian targets. It said the operation ended at 10:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday.
CENTCOM said the strikes targeted dozens of military sites near the Strait of Hormuz and along Iran’s coastline as part of ongoing US operations against Iran’s military capabilities.
