Donald Trump published an AI-generated video in which he appears as “Doctor Trump”. The bizarre 1.30-minute-long clip, shared on Truth Social on Thursday, shows the US President wearing a white coat with the words ‘Doctor J. Trump, M.D.’ embroidered just above the pocket.
The AI-generated “Doctor Trump” said he was offering a “treatment plan” for people suffering from “TDS” – which is believed to be shortened for Trump Derangement Syndrome, a term which has been used by Mr Trump himself and his supporters to describe certain form of criticism against the US leader.
In the video, which features AI-generated images of celebrities including Whoopi Goldberg, Robert De Niro, and Julia Roberts, Trump said: “Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS? The symptoms can be relentless. Fortunately, I’m Dr. Trump, and I have a treatment plan.”
Rosie O’Donnell also appeared in the video and her AI-generated image said: “I have been suffering for over a decade and after listening to Dr. Trump, I can see some results.”
The fake, AI version of Robert De Niro added: “I had no idea how much this was affecting my life. My work has slowed down. I’m hardly recognizable anymore. I just needed help. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. Constantly angry. I made everyone miserable around me.”
In the same video, Dr Trump also said: “Turn off fake news. Say your prayers, and if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me, and you’re gonna see a remarkable difference in your life.”
This is not the first time Mr Trump published AI-generated video or images. Earlier this year, he shared a Christ-like AI image of himself. Mr Trump later claimed he thought the content depicted him as a doctor healing people. “It’s supposed to be me as a doctor making people better.” The post was deleted.
The image also included a large American flag, iconic US landmarks, eagles in flight, aircraft in the sky and glowing angelic figure. The post also sparked outrage and criticism among the US President’s own MAGA base. Former Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, wrote on X: “It’s more than blasphemy, it’s anti-Christ spirit.”
