Super Eagles Defender Agrees Personal Terms With Fulham

Premier League club Fulham have reached an agreement on personal terms with Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu as they step up their pursuit of the highly-rated centre-back.

The Cottagers have made Nwaiwu one of their priority defensive targets this summer and remain determined to secure his signature despite encountering resistance from Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor.

Fulham have already seen two offers rejected by the Black Sea Storm, but the London club are expected to return with an improved bid in a bid to conclude the transfer.

According to French publication, footmercato, Nwaiwu has agreed to a four-year contract with Alvaro Arbeloa’s side , paving the way for the clubs to negotiate a transfer fee.

Trabzonspor, however, are holding firm on their valuation of the Nigerian international, and are understood to be demanding at least €30 million before sanctioning his departure.
