Politics makes for strange bedfellows, and the same can be said for violence, as fight fans learned at UFC 329 on Saturday night.
Following last month’s Freedom 250 on the White House lawn, Dana White’s MMA promotion attracted a more eclectic group of celebrities to T-Mobile arena for Conor McGregor’s disastrous comeback defeat against Max Holloway.
There were still political heavyweights in the crowd, such as erstwhile Donald Trump supporter Tucker Carlson. But on this night, the former Fox News host was flanked by Mike Tyson and actor Vince Vaughn, both of whom support conservative politicians, but have no other obvious connection to Carlson.
At one point, Paramount+ cameras caught Tyson, his wife Kiki, Carlson, Vaughn and podcaster Theo Von all cracking up as Englishman Paddy Pimblett approached the octagon for the co-main event.
‘This is a crazy seating arrangement,’ one fan remarked online.

‘Tucker is just chillin with them all is wild,’ another added, while several suggested Tyson, Carlson and Vaughn could be cast in ‘Hangover 4.’
‘That is the most random collection of celebrities sitting together I think I’ve ever seen,’ one fan jokes.
And while Trump didn’t make a cameo in Las Vegas on Saturday, White was seen palling around with Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo.
The list hardly stops there.
Musicians like Oasis’ Noel Gallagher and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis were pictured in the crowd, as well as actors Jared Leto and Mel Gibson.
Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams was among several notable athletes, including Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
