A Qatari delegation visited Iran on Friday in an effort to consolidate their role as a mediator after the renewed hostilities between the US and Iran in the region, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency.
Citing a source with knowledge of the situation, Reuters reported that Qatari negotiations were meeting Iranian officials to de-escalate tensions and create conditions for broader negotiations in coordination with the US.
