All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Marcus Rashford, Ederson and Cody Gakpo.
Spurs lead Rashford race
Tottenham have done the most work on a potential transfer for Man Utd winger Marcus Rashford, AS Roma Live claims.
The England star has been offered to Roma and Napoli by intermediaries, but despite liking the player, neither club is currently prepared to make a move for him due to his hefty salary.
Tottenham, on the other hand, have no such concerns. Rashford’s future nevertheless remains completely up in the air. He could stay at Man Utd, but he could just as well be sold before the window shuts.
Ederson deal off
Man Utd have pulled out of their deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Red Devils agreed a €45 million package with the Serie A side last month, but the deal had been on hold as Man Utd wanted to make thorough medical examinations on the Brazilian after a meniscus injury.
Man Utd have now decided that Ederson is not fit enough, and they will not proceed with his signing. As things stand, he will return to Atalanta, who will need to find a different solution for him. His contract with La Dea expires next year.
Gakpo interest revived?
Man Utd have a historic interest in Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo, Ben Jacobs has confirmed.
The Netherlands international is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford and has been strongly linked with Tottenham. To date, Gakpo has not requested to leave. Should he do so, it would likely attract other Premier League suitors.
Man Utd could be among them, given their long-standing admiration for him. They tried to sign him before he joined Liverpool. However, Jacobs acknowledges that transfers between the Reds and the Red Devils are generally considered taboo.
Bigger Greenwood windfall
Man Utd could be due a bigger windfall for Mason Greenwood than initially expected, Sercan Hamzaoglu states.
The Marseille forward looks set for a move to Fenerbahce. The Turkish giants offered €45m earlier this week, but the journalist now understands that a potential deal could be worth €55m.
This would be good news for Man Utd as they are owed close to 50% of the profit Marseille generate, having sold Greenwood to the Ligue 1 giants in 2024 for €26m upfront and additional bonuses.
