Bruno Guimaraes bid
Arsenal are preparing to submit a €90 million offer for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, according to a report from Nicolo Schira.
The Brazil international is eager to complete a move to the Emirates Stadium, as exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers, but Newcastle have no intention of sanctioning a sale and will reportedly demand a fee worth €120m to entertain the possibility of a summer transfer.
Despite reports to the contrary, we understand that Arsenal are yet to speak directly to Newcastle over a possible deal for Guimaraes, although this is likely to change soon.
Guimaraes, who made 195 appearances for Eddie Howe’s side, has just two years remaining on his current contract at St James’ Park,
Vinicius Jr salary demand
Arsenal are among the clubs who are being kept informed of Vinicius Junior’s situation at Real Madrid, as per TEAMtalk.
The Brazil superstar has been heavily linked with a Los Blancos exit in recent months and his contract is still due to expire in 2027, with no agreement on fresh terms in sight.
It’s reported that Vinicius’ representatives are seeking a weekly salary of £500,000 – a figure that Real Madrid are unwilling to meet – and his camp have now held talks with several Premier League clubs after he communicated his willingness to move to England.
Arsenal are one of the teams keeping tabs on his situation, alongside Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Former Norway international John Arne Riise has poured cold water on rumours suggesting that Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard could leave the club this summer.
Odegaard scored just one goal and provided six assists in 32 Premier League appearances last season and with only two years remaining on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium, his long-term future at the club isn’t guaranteed.
However, Riise believes that a summer move is unlikely to happen.
“Is Martin Odegaard’s time up at Arsenal? I can understand people thinking that, but at the same time, he’s the captain. He performs well, and you can see at the World Cup that he’s in good shape and has done well for Norway,” Riise told FootballTransfers.
“I’m not sure how long his contract is, but I can’t picture him leaving because he’s obviously happy there and he’s the captain.
“It’s been an up-and-down season, especially with the injuries, so he needs to start well next season, get a good run going, and get some of the fans back supporting him again.”
Lutsharel Geertruida wanted
Arsenal have placed Lutsharel Geertruida on their shortlist of possible right-back targets, according to CaughtOffside.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Sunderland, but he has now returned to RB Leipzig and it’s reported that fee of just €25m may be enough to secure his signature on a permanent deal.
However, Arsenal may face significant competition from Liverpool, who are also interested in signing him.
Ezri Konsa message
Aston Villa superstar Morgan Rogers has heaped praise on fellow Arsenal target Ezri Konsa as the duo prepare for England’s World Cup quarter-final clash against Norway on Saturday.
Rogers and Konsa are both on Arsenal’s transfer radar ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, and widespread rumours have suggested that Mikel Arteta’s side will look to pursue the pair once they return from international duty in North America.
Konsa has emerged as a new target for the Gunners in recent weeks and it’s understood that he is viewed as a potential replacement for Ben White, who could be set to leave the club before Deadline Day.
Asked whether his current Villa team-mate gets the credit he deserves ahead of England’s clash against Norway, Rogers told reporters: “No, nowhere near. I think he’s one of the best centre-backs in football, if I’m honest, I think at this World Cup.
“I think the ability that he’s got, he can do everything as a centre-back, never gets beaten in the air, strong in the tackle, unbelievable on the ball.
“Honestly, I don’t know a flaw in his game, and I think that’s helped Villa that probably a bigger club has not taken him in the last few years. I think that’s helped us, because I honestly don’t know a problem in his game, really.
“It’s nice that he gets the recognition and he can compete on the world stage, and everyone can see how good he actually is. I think he does go under the radar massively and in these conversations of the best centre-backs, he is right up there.”
