Israel’s military said that it killed a Hamas commander in a strike on southern Gaza on Thursday.
In a statement, the army said the attack targeted Yahya Saeed Muhammad Hamdan, head of the Qassam Brigades Nukhba Forces unit, who allegedly took part in the 7 October 2023 attacks.
There has been no immediate statement from Hamas, who reported recently that their spokesperson Hazem Qassem survived an Israeli attack which took place on Thursday west of Gaza City.
