Folarin Balogun green light?

AS Monaco have found their replacement for Folarin Balogun, which could potentially pave the way for Chelsea to sign the United States forward.

Balogun bagged 19 goals across all competitions last term, but Monaco need to raise funds this summer and they are now willing to listen to offers for the x-year-old, according to Foot Mercato.

It’s reported that Chelsea are among the suitors keeping tabs on him and the Blues have received encouragement in their pursuit of his signature by news that Monaco are in talks over a deal for Nantes attacker Mathis Abline, while Auxerre striker Lassine Sinayoko is another option under consideration.

Pep Chavarria offer

Chelsea have lodged a second offer for Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarria worth around €17.5 million, as per Simon Phillips.

The Blues want to sign Chavarria following the sale of Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid, but they are yet to finalise an agreement with Rayo Vallecano, who are determined to maximise the potential transfer fee they could earn through a deal.

Chelsea’s first offer was a reported €10.5m, and despite an improved second bid, it still falls short of the €24.5m that Rayo Vallecano had initially demanded.

Andrey Santos warning

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has warned Andrey Santos that he will not become an immediate starter upon his arrival from Chelsea after the Red Devils struck an agreement to sign him for €58m.

“Is he the guy who is going to replace Casemiro? I don’t think he is the guy who immediately jumps into those shoes and performs at that level right now,” Ferdinand said on X.

“Could he grow, does he have the potential? Yes. Could he be the long-term partner for Kobbie Mainoo? Yes, he could. But I’m looking to see who else they bring in in that area because I think he is one of maybe three to come into that area to share the load.

“He has played in the Premier League, he has got six caps for Brazil. I’ve seen a lot of the fan base are quite negative about it, but I think they are only negative about it because he’s the first one and other clubs are signing players who have been in the news a lot more.

“Is he a good addition to the squad? Yes. Is he going to start immediately? I would say not right now.”

Atletico Madrid are interested in re-signing Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho, according to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Chelsea are ready to offload the Argentina forward on a permanent deal after just one year at the club and several clubs across Europe are believed to be monitoring his situation at Stamford Bridge ahead of a possible bid.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly now joined the race to secure his signature as they look to bring him back to the club six years after he left to join Man Utd.

Harrison Murray-Campbell loan deal agreed

Chelsea have reached a full agreement to send academy defender Harrison Murray-Capmbell on loan to Belgian side KV Kortrijk, as per The Telegraph.

The 19-year-old was nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Year award last season and is regarded as one of Chelsea’s top young prospects.
