Recently confirmed president of Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN), Engineer Chukwudi Elekwachi Dimkpa has promised an open-door policy during his four-year-reign and declared that no one should be considered as a loser for not getting the post that he was officially granted last weekend.
Sports247 reports that Dimkpa spoke in the wake of the official declaration by National Sports Commission (NSC), which reaffirmed his position as KFN president, in what he described as a demonstration of due process.

While also commending the NSC for what he called their commitment to fairness and preservation of institutional integrity in sports administration, Dimkpa asserted that the decision also brings clarity to the KFN’s leadership situation, thereby allowing the body to focus fully on its core mandate of promoting martial arts.
He affirmed that the mandate before him is the task of developing karate and promoting excellence in the sport across the country, then stressed that the time has come for all lovers of the sport and stakeholders to move forward together in collective interest of the martial arts discipline.
Dimkpa also expressed appreciation to NSC chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and the director-general, Honourable Bukola Olopade for upholding justice, then emphasised that his administration will not be judged by controversy but by progress, transformation and creating lasting opportunities in the sport.
He expatiated: “There is no winner and no loser. The true winner is Nigerian karate. I extend my hand of fellowship to every member of our karate family and invite all stakeholders to join me as we work together to build a stronger, more united Federation.
“I sincerely appreciate the leadership of the National Sports Commission. Their leadership has further strengthened confidence in the administration of sports in Nigeria. My administration will operate an open-door policy.
“We will carry everyone along in developing our athletes, strengthening our institutions, supporting our coaches and referees, expanding grassroots participation, and positioning Nigeria among the leading karate nations in the world.”
