Viktor Gyokeres fell victim to the golf course after Sweden exited the World Cup – and unfortunately, it’s reached social media.
The Arsenal striker has left fans in stitches as a video emerged of him embarrassingly scuffing a golf shot directly into the water.

Gyokeres has been enjoying his free time in the days following Sweden’s elimination from the World Cup this week.
His nation were beaten 3-0 by an incredible France side to bow out of the tournament in the round of 32 on Tuesday.
But the 28-year-old front man has been trying to take his mind off the loss by playing some golf.
Although he may now regret that decision after his error…
Gyokeres found himself right on the water’s edge as he set himself up to take his next shot on the golf course.
He took a few seconds to focus before taking a swipe at the ball, but he scuffed it completely, sending a chunk of grass flying.
And he could do nothing but watch as his ball dropped a few yards in front of him, hitting the grass and bouncing into the water.
Gyokeres then turned to the camera and started laughing, accepting defeat in the embarrassing moment.
Fans have since reacted on social media after the video was shared, with many sending floods of laughing emojis.
Another joked ‘Plays golf like he plays football’, while a third posted: “Surprised he didn’t dive in the water after it.”

Crouch has competition
Gyokeres’ terrible golf shot may now take Peter Crouch’s title of the footballer with the worst effort of all time.
In June 2025, a video emerged of Crouch messing up a tee shot so badly that onlookers burst into tears of laughter.
He stood over the tee box with a driver in hand, with some heckling going on as he prepared to hit the ball.
And the pressure appeared to get to him, as the legendary ex-striker topped the ball and sent it into the trees.
Crouch then reacted to the video being shared around on social media, writing: “Can everyone not share this pls.”
