Jordan Henderson has suffered a ‘really bad’ wrist injury, Thomas Tuchel has revealed, after the non-playing England substitute fell in their post-match celebrations in Mexico at the World Cup.
Henderson, who was shown a yellow card during the game despite not playing, was arm-in-arm with his team-mates behind the goal in front of England fans, before falling as he vaulted back over the advertising hoardings.
Boss Tuchel said of the 36-year-old: ‘Not good. Not good. Jordan just fell over and injured his wrist. It looks really bad.’

Captain Harry Kane told the BBC: ‘Jordan just fell over there, I think he’s OK, just something to do with his arm.’ Jude Bellingham added: ‘He’s in a bit of bother, but our medical team have got everything under control.
‘It’s probably best not to say too much when I don’t really know what was going on. But everyone was there to support him, and even that was a beautiful thing to see.’
