The suspect behind the Monaco bomb attack on a Ukrainian oligarch has been named.
Interpol identified Anastasiia Berezovska, a 39-year-old woman from Ukraine, as the suspect behind the parcel bombing in Monaco that seriously wounded Vadim Ermolaev and two others. An arrest warrant has been issued for Berezovska, who Monaco’s prosecutor’s office says is no longer in Monaco.
An red notice issued by Interpol says the suspect has a tattoo, possibly of a snake, on her right arm from the shoulder to the elbow. It says she was born in Ukraine, has dark hair, and speaks German. Interpol says her arrest is sought by authorities in Monaco for attempted murder and other charges.
One source close to the investigation said: “The prime suspect was identified by a witness.” The source added: “She is armed and dangerous, and thought to be in the company of accomplices. She should be approached with extreme caution.”
The attack happened on Rue Révérend Père Louis Frolla, near the border with France, at around 9pm local time (8pm BST) on Monday.
